What is Olaplex?
Olaplex is a hair care treatment product that can completely revive your hair. Well it’s a little bit more than a hair care treatment. Olaplex is more of a hair hero. It is truly remarkable what Olaplex can do. It works at the molecular level to repair moderately to severely damaged hair. Why do you need to use Olaplex?

- Olaplex Number 1 (Bond Multipler) -The concentrated first salon step rebuilds broken disulfide bonds and begins the process of preventing damage and repairing hair.
- Olaplex Number 2 (Bond Perfector) – The second salon step continues to rebuild and restore any remaining broken bonds ensuring the strongest, shiniest, and healthiest hair possible.
- Olaplex Number 3 (Hair Perfector)- This is not a conditioner. It is an at-home treatment that reduces breakage and visibly strengthens hair thus improving its look and feel.
Does Olaplex Work?
We would go as far as to say that Olaplex is revolutionary. Apparently we are not the only ones who think so highly of Olaplex’s products. As a matter of fact, the Olaplex patented product is so effective that one of the largest hair care product companies was successfully sued by Olaplex for patent infringement. The company, who is a household name in the hair care industry, had tried to hire away key individuals that were responsible for formulating Olaplex. It’s safe to say that one of the largest and oldest hair care product companies in the world would not go to such great lengths to attempt to duplicate a product if it did not work as well as it does. The results will vary based upon a number of different factors including: extent of hair damage, moisture level, hair thickness, quality of hair color products used, etc.
Who should use Olaplex?
Olaplex is great for anyone with dry, damaged, fragile, color treated hair, and a ton of other hair types. Basically, Olaplex is an amazing product for almost everyone. It is predominantly used by people that are looking to repair their hair while still getting color treatment. Olaplex bonds to each strand of hair at the molecular level allowing for a healthier head of hair.
Can Olaplex have long term consequences?
We have never seen negative results from the use of Olaplex. However, it is important to consult with us or another hair care professional. Some people have been known to use the healing properties of Olaplex to push their hair too far with hair highlights and cause further damage. Olaplex also does not make your hair immune from future damage. Whatever has caused damage to your hair in the past will have the same ability to cause damage again.
